Big Birthday Bash
The original idea for Lucy's birthday party was to make use of our huge backyard. We were going to set up the pools and have water and games and a good time. Of course, the weather decided to put us to the test and give a slight chance of rain. The morning of I finally had to move it to the church as I couldn't risk having to fit all these people inside my little house. And of course my text messages didn't work so people showed up to the house.... Anyways the morning was a bit of a mess. But finally everyone arrived and we had a good time.
My friend let me borrow her bounce house when we had to move it inside. The kids loved it. Most of my planned games couldn't be moved inside as they involved water.
We ate lots of good food. I tried to stick with a rainbow theme. We had hot dogs, rainbow goldfish, fruit loops, rainbow licorice...And a rainbow fruit and veggie platter.
Lucy requested a Princess Luna birthday party. I was quite sure what to do with that request so...she got a Princess Luna piƱata.

Singing Happy Birthday
Her cake had a special rainbow surprise in it.
And of course she was spoiled with presents.
Long overdue
I spent the last month looking for these pictures.... Only to find they were still on the camera! Oops.
Lucy was thrilled with her birthday, which makes mommy very happy too. Lucy and Mallory's birthday's are only 5 days apart so we had a combo birthday party. We had a couple family friends join us for the festivities.

Lucy isn't a big fan of cake; she just eats the frosting. So rather than make a cake we had a donut cake. Give this girl a donut and its gone in 10 seconds flat. She loved her Donut cake.
Singing "Happy Birthday" and getting a little giddy and bashful.
Delicious!
We had to do a good old cake smash for Mallory's first birthday.
Look, no hands!
Waiting for the sugar rush
Just going for it
Loving her cookie monster.
Daddy testing out the new toys.
And this little cutie was there too. Love is beautiful smile.
